Festering at the bottom of a pit my eyes begin to calcify and my skin blisters, feeble and broken I cannot move. The walls are barbed and dripping with acid, I try to climb but the pain is unbearable. Would I heal if I reached the top? Does this pit even have one?

I climb again regardless until my tenacity is snapped, hoping it would be different. Drenched in darkness, naked and cold, this I see is where I'll remain. But at least no one can reach me here.
